Lod score plots for the whole genome obtained for 560 F2 animals. The results of both the forced swim test (FST) and tail suspension test (TST) are shown. Lod scores were calculated usingCARTOGRAPHER and the composite interval mapping approach under the unconstrained genetic model. Thresholds of significant linkage (genome-wide P < 0.05) for the FST and TST were estimated by permutation analysis, and were 3.65 and 3.60, respectively. A suggestive lod score was taken as 2.8 (Lander and Kruglyak 1995).
