Winners of the Genome Research poster competition at 2010 “The Biology of Genomes” meeting are announced.

Congratulations to Grand Prize winner, Melissa A. Wilson Sayres, who was awarded $500 and a one-year personal subscription to Genome Research for her outstanding poster presentation entitled, "Life history traits affect the magnitude of male mutation bias across 32 mammalian genomes.” Congratulations also to Second Prize winners, Dr. Daniel Gaffney and David Goode, who each won $250 and a one-year personal subscription to Genome Research for their outstanding poster presentations. Daniel, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Chicago, presented the poster entitled, "Prediction of regulatory SNPs in the HapMap LCLs by integrating information from multiple experimental sources." David, a graduate student at Stanford University, presented the poster entitled, "Assessing the functional impact of short indels in individual human genomes."

Awards were presented May 15, 2010 at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory during the meeting, "The Biology of Genomes."
