Winners of the Genome Research poster competition at 2014 ‘The Biology of Genomes’ meeting announced.

The grand prize poster award for the Genome Research poster competition at ‘The Biology of Genomes’ meeting was awarded to Ronald Hause, from University of Washington, for his poster presentation, “Using integrative estimates of deleteriousness and regulatory potential to identify causal eQTLs.” Ron received $500 and a one-year personal subscription to Genome Research.

Runner-up awards were also presented to Charles Danko, from Cornell University, for his poster presentation “Evolutionary changes in gene expression and active regulatory element usage quantified in primate CD4+ T-cells,” and to Matthew Taylor, from University of Southern California, for his poster presentation “Genetic interactions involving five or more genes contribute to a complex trait in yeast.” Both Charles and Matt received $250 and a one-year personal subscription to Genome Research.
