Microtiter glass-filter plate used for plasmid preparation. The volume of each well is 600 μl. At the bottom of each plate is a glass filter and hydrophilic PVDF membrane with a pore size of 0.45 μm. The glass filters are designed to trap and harvest E. colicells and to adsorb the plasmid DNA in the presence of guanidine-HCl after the lysis. The PVDF membrane is installed to keep the solutions on the stages. When the samples are aspirated the membrane filters the samples to maintain adherence of the plasmid DNAs to the glass filter.
