  • Means ± s.e. for systolic blood pressure (mmHg) are given by genotype at representative loci in the QTL regions identified in Table 3. All of these representative loci were typed on 151 rats. Differences of blood pressure among genotypes were analyzed by one-way ANOVA. (S) S rat allele: (L) Lew rat allele.

  • Detection of a possible blood pressure QTL on chromosome 7 is based on heart weight data (see Fig. 2, Table 5, and the text).
