STSs Developed in This Study

STSs are identified by an sWXD number (for the Washington University database) and an alias (used in Fig. 2). Most of the aliases are derived from YAC ends and are identified by a number (from the YAC) and an L (for left end) or R (for right end). Several STSs were spaced too closely to be discriminated from neighboring ones and are thus not illustrated in Fig. 2. These include sWXD1282, which is near sY38; sWXD1288, which is near sY32; and sWXD1358 and sWXD1359, which are near 1520R.
