Graphical summary of the method used to identify HTT. A more detailed figure detailing all steps of the method can be found in Supplemental Figure S1. Two independent clustering approaches were performed. Approach 1 was applied in a two-step procedure as described in Zhang et al. (2020). Approach 2 was applied on each species pair separately and comprised only one step. Filters A, B, and C were applied to avoid false positives; they are described in Supplemental Figure S2 and in Supplemental Methods.
