SL1 trans-spliced genes exhibit higher translational efficiencies than their non-trans-spliced one-to-one orthologs. Comparisons were made between C. elegans and (A) C. briggsae, (B) C. remanei, and (C) C. brenneri. P-values were given by the Mann-Whitney U test.
