This figure shows the comparison of the top 10%, 5%, 2%, and 1% XPEHH and iHS windows near and far from amino acid changes. Randomization test: *P ≤ 0.05; **P ≤ 0.01; ***P ≤ 0.001. (Left side of histograms) All regions irrespective of recombination rates. (Right side) Only regions with recombination rates <0.5 cM/Mb. The max(EA,EU) histograms show the results obtained when retaining for each window the maximum signal of the East Asian and European populations.
