ADF1 interacts with Polycomb. (A) Adult males were scored for the presence of extra sex combs on second and third leg pairs, an indicator of homeotic transformation to first leg identity. The percentages of legs with extra sex combs in each genotype are shown. (B) Coimmunoprecipitation of Polycomb and ADF1 from S2R+ cells. Proteins were immunoprecipitated with anti-Polycomb, anti-ADF1, or nonspecific IgG antisera, separated on SDS gels, and transferred to nitrocellulose for immunoblotting with the antisera indicated to the left; 2.5% of input was compared with material recovered after immunoprecipitation.
