Comparison between the number of insertions and deletions in ancestral repeats and coding sequences in primate branches. Events estimated from Prank+F alignments using parsimonious criteria. Note that a different scale is used in each case. The deletion-to-insertion ratio increased in coding sequences for all three branches.
