  • Borders of CpG islands were determined according to the annotation of the UCSC Genome Browser (Karolchik et al. 2003). Coding regions are defined as CDS of protein-coding genes. Promoters comprise 2 kb upstream of TSS of the genes, and TSS proximal regions comprise ±2 kb around transcription starts.
