RCS cells were transiently transfected (in triplicate experiments) with either the full-length Mia (−2251 bp mouse) promoter (required for chondrogenic expression), truncated promoter (−401), or with mutations in the computationally predicted SOX-binding motifs (CA to GG) (−410m and −395m).
