  • The reliability of the microarray hybridizations was evaluated by calculating the correlation between the technical and biological replicates in each hybridization experiment. Two biological replicates were used. Each biological sample in flower versus leaf comparisons consisted of four technical replicates and in flower organ comparisons three technical replicates. Correlation between the two biological replicates was calculated from the mean of the expression ratios of the corresponding technical replicates. Coefficients of at least 0.7 indicate the high reproducibility of the hybridizations.
