The AFLP markers are arranged in their genetic order on individual chromosomes of P. c. chabaudi. The chromosomes themselves are numbered at the top of the graph. The reductions in the intensities of markers in chromosome 7 are inversely related to their approximate (genetic or physical) distance from the locus for pcdhfr, the expected target of selection under pyrimethamine.
