NX and NA indicate the number of individual ancestral repeats examined on chromosome X and autosomes, respectively; LX and LA, the lengths of the ARs examined on chromosome X and autosomes, respectively; RateX and RateA, the nucleotide substitution rates (weighted by the length of ARs) and their standard deviations on chromosome X and autosomes, respectively; X/A, the ratio of nucleotide substitution rates on chromosome X versus autosomes; and α (95% Cl), the male-to female mutation rate ratio and its 95% confidence interval (given only for young ARs, as bootstrap procedure for all ARs is very computationally intensive).
