Effect of protein overexpression during mitosis. The protein encoded by cDNA DKFZp434P097 was overexpressed as a CFP fusion protein in NIH-3T3 cells (B), antitubulin staining (A). Phosphorylated histone H3 in mitotic cells was detected with a specific antibody (C), which shows a punctuate staining pattern in nuclei of cells in prophase (yellow arrows).
