  • NF-κB binding site conserved inDrosophila, otherwise conserved in the mouse genome.

  • In the third column, experimental evidence on whether the promoters are regulated by NF-κB is found in the literature. “Promoter study” means the promoters have been cloned upstream of a reporter gene and expression assays demonstrated that the promoters are regulated by NF-κB. “Gene” means that a single gene expression assay of the candidate, usually by Northern blot, shows increased expression in cells after activating NF-κB with the stimulating factors. “Array” refers to microarray experiments showing that expression of the gene increases after NF-κB is activated in the cells. In the fourth column, a plus sign means the genes play a role in the immune system. The fifth column gives the score (π[x]) for the promoter in the LRA model. Ref.
