Differences in marker locations between the two strains are also indicated. No markers were found for the JEC21 contigs 2 and 17; these contigs, along with contig 14 and the H99 contigs 6 and 14, did not have shared markers between the genomes. The boxed and shaded markers also were used to relate the contigs to electrophoretically separated chromosomes (Fig. 2).
