Classification of the Observed CDS Splits

cDNA group Nonsense mutation Insertion (GT-AG) Deletion (GT-AG) Frame-shift mutation None Others Total
KG1/NFL 0 3 (0) 6 (2) 11 10 1 31
Brain/Ch1 0 4 (4) 1 (0) 1 3 1 10
Brain/LCDS 3 31 (19) 10 (2) 18 20 8 90
Total 3 38 (23) 17 (4) 30 33 10 131
  • Numbers in parentheses are the numbers of insertions or deletions having possible GT-AG splicing boundaries.

  • Number of cloned cDNA sequences were identical to those of the main RT-PCR products at the site triggering an alert by GeneMark analysis.

  • Number of the sites including multiple causes for single CDS splits.

  • Note: numbers of experimentally examined sites are given in each cDNA class. KIAA0302 and KIAA0324 were omitted from these data because they were found to contain sequencing errors.
