↵Alternative splice variants of this locus. We have previously reported two Naip5 cDNA clones (clones 11 and 22) that contain a single base insertion within Naip5 exon 11 resulting in a frameshift (Huang et al. 1999). Direct sequencing ofNaip5 exon 11 PCR products derived from genomic DNA indicate that the two cDNA clones containing frameshift mutations are artifacts of cloning (data not shown).
