Example of different orthologs detected by phylogenetic or BLAST-based methods (CLUSTER 150). The tree was calculated by the neighbor-joining method. BLAST detects the pair with the shortest distance, whereas phylogenetic methods can compensate for unequal rates of divergence and make a more correct grouping.
