[i] Meta-A wrongly predicts a nuclear localization for ArfGap zinc finger domains on the basis that all zinc fingers bind DNA.

[ii] Meta-A predicts a nuclear localization for centrosomal proteins. However, the centrosome is a nucleus-associated structure, rather than being a region of the nucleus.

[iii] The signal peptide predicted in SwissProt for YWO2_CAEEL is unlikely, as it is not predicted using other methods.

[iv] Predicted as secreted by Meta-A on the basis that it was originally described as a cell-wall structural protein. The six proteins mentioned in the text that have multiple locales and were predicted to have different locales by the domain projection and Meta-A methods are: SCD1_SCHPO, YB54_XENLA, YB56_XENLA, NUMB_DROME, RANG_YEAST, and SNF4_YEAST.
