Average insert sizes in this table were estimated by analyzing 483 clones from segment one, 246 from segment two, 299 from segment three, 308 from segment four, and 212 from segment five. These clones were randomly picked from each fraction to correspond to their ratio within each segment, for example segment three comprises 75% of its clones from fraction M1B004E F5 and 25% from fraction M1B003E F5. Non-insert clones were observed as a single band that is smaller than the normal vector size on the gel. No non-recombinants containing the deleted vector fragment have been found among 212 clones analyzed from segment five. The genomic redundancy was estimated using 3300 Mb as the genome size.
