[i] Observed heterozygosity among the eight sires in the reference pedigree.

[ii] The assignment provided here is based on new experiments, which indicates that these clones are chimeric (M. Breen, unpubl.). Within the chimeric clones, the largest pieces of DNA map to the locations indicated in Breen et al. (1997). However, the sequence surrounding the microsatellite loci have now been confirmed to map to the locations given here.
