[i] Our standard injection conditions are defined as 20 ng/μl of cosmid DNA and 80 ng/μl of pCes1943. Listed are the lower concentrations of cosmid DNA that were used to generate transgenic strains successfully.

[ii] Cosmid concentrations are estimates only, based on either gel quantification or information provided by the Sequencing Consortium (see Methods). Final concentrations of injection DNA were made up to 100 ng/μl with pCes1943.
