[i] We obtained 113 GWAS-identified SNPs associated with human diabetes from http://www.genome.gov/gwastoexcel.cfm. We then extracted chromosomal location and associated genes for the SNP from NCBI using eFetch. The 18 SNPs that are within 500 bp of an H3K4me1 GLITR region are listed. Because H3K4me1 is frequently associated with enhancers, the SNPs listed have the potential to affect gene expression of associated genes.
