Selective expression example from real data. The results shown in this example are for an actual assembly, which is highly homologous to mRNA for a 23-kD highly basic protein. Intensities (abundances) are plotted vs. sources (libraries) in arbitrary order. The single exceptionally large intensity compared to the other intensities in the source set was detected by the algorithm as a strong selective expression.
