When more than one candidate in a given interval between two known framework markers is acceptable (e.g., LG1), the one with the highest sum of lod scores for adjacent framework markers is chosen (REC). Markers that have been submitted to the LN54 Web site in confidence (e.g., LG8) are temporarily rejected, even if they satisfy selection criteria. The program was re-run with the new frameworks in place until all possible candidates have been tested.
