Coding sequences derive from cDNA (human; E.M. Southard-Smith, unpubl.; mouse GenBank accession no. AF017182; rat GenBank accession no. AJ001029) or genomic sequences (M. Angrist, unpubl.). An alternative start codon Met_ALT found in the mouse Sox10 5′ UTR is also boxed.
