[i] Genomic DNA from 14 patient-derived P. falciparum isolates was applied to the microarray from throughout the 2006 malarious season from various healthcare centers surrounding Iquitos, Peru. Standard genotyping was used to determine the drug resistance alleles for pfdhfr-ts (N51I, C59R, S108T/N, I164L, *=C50R), pfdhps (A437G, K540E, A581G), pfmdr1 (N86Y, D142G, Y184F, S1034C, N1042D, D1246Y), and pfcrt (C72S, V73, M74I, N75E, K76T, H97Q). The apicoplast 23S (api 23S) rRNA genotype was determined by microarray analysis combined with PCR and direct sequencing. Mutations are underscored.
