[i] xProfiler's output lists genes with 10× number of tags in the endothelial pool than in the nonendothelial pool of SAGE-CGAP libraries. Hits corresponding to these genes in the endothelial and nonendothelial EST pools were identified by identity-level BLAST searches for mRNA (known genes) or phrap-computed contig sequences (EST clusters representing novel genes). Genes are sorted according to the number of hits in the nonendothelial EST pool. Known and predicted novel endothelial specific genes are in bold.
